Types of Programmes:
At Wot Wud U Do, our programmes aren’t one-size-fits-all. They’re flexible, creative, and built around the real experiences and needs of young people aged 11–25. Whether it’s one-to-one mentoring, creative workshops or school-based sessions, every programme is designed to help young people feel seen, heard and supported.
Here’s how we do it:
1. Alternate Provision (School-Day Support)
For students struggling to engage with mainstream school – emotionally, behaviourally or socially – our alternate provision offers a safe, nurturing space away from traditional classroom pressure.
We focus on emotional regulation, confidence-building, decision-making, and creative expression through visual art and event management. Small groups, trauma-informed staff, and regular check-ins ensure every young person is supported holistically and in many cases, leave with an Arts Award accreditation.
2. Creative Workshops
These short, high-impact sessions take place in schools, colleges and community settings. We use interactive videos, and coproduced resources to spark conversations around relationships, identity, pressure, mental health, and more.
Young people leave our workshops with real insights, raised self-awareness and self management skills.
3. One-to-One Peer Mentoring
Sometimes, a young person just needs someone who gets it. Our trained peer mentors use their own lived experience to build trust, offer support, and gently guide young people through emotional or social challenges.
Mentoring can happen in schools, community spaces, or as part of our alternate provision.
4. Holiday Programmes
During school holidays, we run themed creative projects that give young people something to look forward to – and somewhere to belong. From art and design to exhibitions and events, these programmes are packed with purpose, fun, and friendship.
5. Co-Creation Projects
We don’t just work for young people – we work with them. Our co-creation projects empower young people to shape the resources, campaigns and content that speak to their peers. Past projects have tackled issues like anti-social behaviour, bullying, and mental health stigma – all led by the voices that matter most.
No matter the format, all our programmes aim to create meaningful change – not just in the moment, but for life.
