Alternative & Creative Provision for 11–25 Year Olds

Helping young people thrive when mainstream education doesn’t fit

At Wot Wud U Do, we understand that every young person faces different challenges—and as a parent or educator, you want the best support available. Our team of dedicated professionals bring lived experience of what it means to feel out of place in traditional settings. We’re here to help young people grow in confidence, develop emotional resilience, and take control of their choices and future.

We work with young people aged 11–25 who may be struggling socially, emotionally, or mentally. Whether they need a safe space to talk, be creative, or simply feel understood—we’re here for them, and for you.

Alternative Provision for 11–16 Year Olds

Creative support for pupils who don’t fit the mainstream

We provide an arts-based alternative provision for pupils aged 11–16 who are struggling in school—whether diagnosed or undiagnosed with additional needs. Working in close partnership with schools and parents, we run a structured weekly programme across the academic year that nurtures confidence, emotional awareness, and self-expression.

As part of the journey, pupils:

  • Research an artist or creative figure

  • Visit an exhibition, gallery or cultural event

  • Design and deliver their own creative project on a societal issue they care about (e.g. mental health, identity or equality)

  • Work towards a Nationally Recognised Arts Award qualification

This is more than just a creative outlet—it’s a chance for young people to be heard, feel valued, and build a future on their own terms.

Creative Development programme for 16–25 Year Olds

Inspiring pathways for young people at a crossroads

Our youth provision supports 16–25 year olds who are disengaged from education, employment, or training. Through creative workshops, one-to-one mentoring and visits to cultural venues, participants develop their own arts project rooted in an issue they care deeply about.

Along the way, they:

  • Gain emotional and creative skills

  • Explore identity and social issues

  • Work toward a recognised Arts Award qualification

  • Rebuild confidence and improve employability

Whether you’re a college seeking tailored provision or a parent looking for a positive next step, we offer a structured, empowering experience that helps young people rediscover motivation and direction.

"I pick up a lot of the resources off the PSHE association and some come as lesson plans where you work it out yourself, and some come as PowerPoints where you can tweak them, but none of them, are as good as these or as ready to go. All the information is on the slide, it’s detailed, there’s direct links to website and videos and there is a complete package which no other resources, I don’t think, bar maybe a couple of large charity ones, have been that ready to use.’"
